She is survived by: her husband Roger Whitsett; her daughters, Deshanna Toney (Herrell Fields) of Charlotte, NC, Andrea Mkwella (Yassin) of Indian Land, SC and Tremaine Wells (Edward) of Durham, NC; her grandchildren, Sydney Toney of Charlotte, NC, Laila Ingram, Madina and Cairo Mkwella of Indian Land, SC; her siblings, Sharyn Caldwell of Winston-Salem, NC, Cathy Wood (Elder Richard) of Winston-Salem, NC and Kenneth Banner of Greensboro, NC; and her close friends, Brenda West, Shelby Cheeks, Valette Byrd, Kent and Tracy Zimmerman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
