It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Shoaf Privette (Winston Salem, North Carolina), who passed away on October 11, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Olin Everett Shoaf (O. E.) and Ruth Myers Shoaf; her sister Norma Shoaf Dussault; and her husband Coy C. Privette. She is survived by: her children, Denise (David Sherman) and John; her grandchildren, Andy, Walt, Peter, Amy and Rick Perko; her daughters, Anna, Kate and Melanie (Tristan Caudron); her great grandchildren, Will, Ben and Ryan; and her daughter Emma. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In her spirit of giving, Betty donated her body for medical education and training to Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
