She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Mack Grindstaff and Clarice Mabe; and her brother Bobby Joe Grindstaff. She is survived by: her significant other Paul Andrew Smith.

The family is very grateful for the wonderful care Betty received with hospice, and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Trellis Supportive Care.
