She was predeceased by: her parents, Travis Ledford and Nellie Allen Hall; her husband Jesse Lee Poindexter, Jr.; her brother Thomas Ledford Hall (Wanda); and her son William Edward Poindexter.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Scott Poindexter (Susan) and Mary Elizabeth Rutledge; her grandchildren, Matthew Scott Poindexter (Elizabeth), Emily Poindexter Tucker (Patrick) and Aaron Scott Williams; her great grandchildren, Cora Watts Poindexter and Mary Friday Poindexter; and her nieces, Karen Michelle Hall and Jennifer Lynn Hall.
