She is survived by: her husband Oliver Dewey Upshaw Jr.; and her children, Oliver Dewey Upshaw III (Diane) of Raleigh and Lela Altman (Marshall) of Nashville, TN..
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Knollwood Baptist Church (330 Knollwood St, Winston-Salem, NC 27104). In retirement, she was a tutor at Bolton Elementary School until the Covid epidemic.
Memorials may be sent to Knollwood Baptist Church marked "Celebration Fund", or to the charity of one's choice.
