She was predeceased by: her parents, Susanna and Dock McKay, Sr.; her husband Richard Johnson; and her siblings, Susanna Chambers, Dorothy Hampton, Frances Taylor, Robert, Dock, Jr., Isaac and Earnest McKay.

She is survived by: her son Arthur McKay, Sr.; her grandchildren, Arthur McKay, Jr. and Anita Lee (Anthony); her great grandchildren, Alijah, Amari, Anah, Brendan, Aaliyah and Anthony, Jr.; and her siblings, Katie Carpenter, Moses McKay and Charles McKay (Brenda). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
