She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Dargan and Flossie Patterson Dargan; her husband James J. Purvis; her daughter Vernola P. Jackson; and her pets, Tikki and Abraham.
She is survived by: her children, James L. Purvis of Winston-Salem, Ontario of Winston-Salem, Calif of Winston-Salem, Barbara P. Martin of Winston-Salem, Randolph Purvis (Darlene) of Winston-Salem, Rozena P. Matthews (Gary) of Winston-Salem and Minister Marjorie P. Douglas (Junius) of Knightdale, NC.; her son-in-law Charles Jackson, Sr.; her grandchildren, Shevonne Martin, Christopher Lyles, Sr. Maurice (LaToya), Monte Purvis (Kelli), Charles Jackson, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Aaron Douglas, Adam Douglas and Rodney Purvis (Tremona); her siblings-in-law, Carrie Davis (Richmond), Roosevelt Purvis, Tony Zinnerman, Kenneth Zinnerman, Richmond and Thomas Purvis of Willingboro; and her close friends, Victoria Williams, Esther Kato, Rev. Paul, Virginia Thombs, Mozelle Lampkin, Rev. Dale P. Sneed and Gladys Phifer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
