It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Coram Burke (Winston Salem, North Carolina), who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Ruth Coram (Walter Ott Coram) and Barbara; and her husband Billy E. Burke (Bill). She is survived by: her children, Tanya M. Sellars (Charles) and Paul V. Martin (Lisa Saunders); her grandchildren, William C. Colvill, Connor M. Colvill, Walter M. Sellars, Scott Martin, Mandy Martin, Kristen Martin and Matthew Martin; her siblings, Jerry G. Coram Sr. (Barbara) and Judy C. Hamilton (Fred); her nieces and nephews, Wendy Spainhour (Dean), Jerry Coram Jr. (Kristi), Melissa Nichols (Clint), Holly Smith (Trevor) and Craig Hamilton (Emily); her cousins, Johnny Shepard (Glenda) and Marion Weeks (Nate); her stepdaughter Billie Snively; her stepgrandchildren, Taylor, Lily and Cameron; and her close friends, Peggy Grainger, Lynn Hester, Helen Hester, Pat Kight and Marie Rodden.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Robinhood Road Baptist Church (5422 Robinhood Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Robinhood Road Baptist Church or Second Harvest Food Bank, 3330 Shorefair Drive NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
