She was loved and cherished by many people including: her former husband Robert Carson; her son Bruce Carson; her parents, Sam and Essie; her siblings, Mildred J. Kirkland, Phyllis J. Claggett, Herbert, Samuel, Jr., James and Frank Joyner; her son Lloyd Anthony Berry; her aunts and uncles, Emmaline (Teak), Thelma, Rachel and Henry Joyner; her sisters-in-law, Eloise, Ethel and Lucille Joyner; her daughters, Pappi C. Franklin (Lonnie) and Tina Carson-Wilkins (Ronald Wilkins); her grandchildren, Nakita Carson (Joseph Hampton) of Kernersville, NC, Bruce Stowe (Juscance) of Las Vegas, NV, Aaron Conrad (Tamara) of Walnut Cove, NC, Tiffany Fuller (Ryan) of Winston-Salem, NC, Brandy Gilliam of Winston-Salem, NC and Jamon Carson (Myya) of Wallburg, NC; her daughter-in-law Jacqueline; her brother Douglas Joyner; her caregivers, Althea Barbour (Lee) and Nautica Baldwin; her friend Dorothy Robinson (Maureen); and her family, Mary Covington, Jamie Morrison, Romaine Eaton and Constance Segers. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the New Bethel Baptist Church (1016 Trade St NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27101).
