She was predeceased by: her parents, Mable Dell Clark Harris and Dock Lewis Harris; her husband William Lee Earnest; and her sister Mary Lib Harris Harper. She is survived by: her children, Alice Earnest Wrenn (Mick) of Burlington, NC, William Lee Earnest, Jr. of Clayton, NC and Ellen Earnest Safrit (Bryan) of Raleigh, NC.; her grandchildren, Paul Wylie Safrit of Raleigh, NC, Stephen Lee Safrit (Makayla) of Greenville, NC, Casey Wrenn Key (Justin) of Decatur, GA and Stephanie Layne Wrenn of Raleigh, NC; her brother-in-law James Buchanan Harper; her nieces, Ann Lewis Harper (Chris Blake) and Mary Harper Mahony (Mitch); and her great-nephew Harper Hall Blake. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
