He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank French and Bertha French; his son Arthur French; his granddaughter Shannon Dobbins; his brother James Haymaker French; and his son-in-law Kenneth Harrelson.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Sue Smith French; his children, Darrell French (Renea), Daniel French, Cynthia Harrelson and Chrystina Vest (Rock); his siblings-in-law, David Smith (Melissa), Jackie Smith (Glenda) and Babe; his nephew Blake Smith; and his niece Shanny Smith. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
