She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Burgess and Louvenia Burgess; and her brother Wilbur Junior Burgess. She is survived by: her daughter Shamika Burgess; her grandchildren, Lashay Johnson, Daquan Richmond and Virginia Renee Austin; and her great grandchild Khalani Miller. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
