With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alfred Alvin Poe (Winston Salem, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parent Katie Friday; his stepfather Calvin Friday; and his grandparents, Pauline Poe and Alfred Poe. He is survived by: his wife Carol Poe; his children, Alisa Anderson (Damian), Camille Poe and William Poe; his siblings, Kathleen Friday of High Point, Roscoe Friday (Debra) of Richmond, VA and Calvin Friday (Judy) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Naikeesha Poe, Princess Poe, Cierra Campbell, Malachi Poe and Elijah Poe of Winston-Salem; his great grandchild King Coleman; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Cordell of Auburn Hills and Sandra Chavis of Fayetteville, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives.
Viewing will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Bethel Baptist Church (1016 Trade St NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
