With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Zodock Vereen (Winnabow, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 10, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Esta Lee Vereen and Fary Mildred Hickman Vereen (Bessie Lee); and his siblings, Catherine "Kit" McKenzie and James Daniel Vereen Sr. (Jim). He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Clemmons (Larry) of Bolivia, Wilbur Vereen (Jan) of Bolivia, Terry Vereen (Devota) of Caswell Beach and Robert Vereen (Marissa) of Ivanhoe; his siblings, Bobbie Inman (Hubert) of Charleston, SC and Pearly Vereen of Exum; his grandchildren, Brian Clemmons (Amy), Cassandra Rochelle, Malin Vereen and Talia Simmons; and his great grandchildren, Lucas Clemmons (Kayleigh), Abby Clemmons Rene (Elison), Joseph Clemmons, Aidan Clemmons, Eli Clemmons, Aubry Ricker, Jordyn Ricker and Anna Ricker.

The family asks that donations to Lower Cape Fear Life Care and Hospice be made instead of flowers or other gifts.
