She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgie Shook and Chastine Shook; and her brothers, Del Shook, Donald Shook and James Shook.
She is survived by: her husband Perry G. Davis Sr. of Winnabow, NC; her children, Maria Jones (Philip) of Winnabow, NC, Perry Davis Jr. and James Davis of Wilmington, NC; her grandchildren, Catherine Jacobs (Jonathan) of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Geena Fisher (Trevor) of Raleigh, NC, Sam Davis of Wilmington, NC and Ben Davis of Wilmington, NC; her great grandchildren, Kennedy Jacobs, Hadley Jacobs and Beau Fisher; her sisters, Mercedith Bacon of Bryson City, NC, Margie Fausel of Griffin, GA, Dyanne Pedersen of Danielsville, GA and Linda Harmon of Jackson, GA; and her family Perry. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Her fondest wish was for her children to get college educations and for that reason and to honor her memory, the family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the North Brunswick High School Scholarship Fund for First-Generation College Students in a Science Field.
