He is survived by: his parent Thelma Byrd Lowery Lewis; his wife Barbara Lowery of Winnabow; his children, Leigh King (George) of Asheboro, Alicia Lowery of Winnabow, Allison King (Adam) of Winnabow, Austin Lowery (Brandi) of Winnabow and Kaleigh Lowery of Winnabow; his siblings, Steve Lowery (Brenda), Carolyn Fowler of Wilmington, Marilyn Hubbard (Bobby) of Currie and Susan Bowling (Gary) of Winnabow; and his grandchildren, Savanna, Kamryn, Carter, Greyson, Delilah and Clayton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
