She was predeceased by: her parents, George Glynton Barbee and Thelma Marie Perry Barbee; her significant other Jimmy Corbett; and her brother Richard Barbee. She is survived by: her children, Tia Corbett Hazel (James), Robert W. Corbett (Melissa) and Daniel L. Corbett (Lori). She is also survived by four grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Market Street Chapel (1617 Market St, Wilmington, NC 28401). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at the Black River Presbyterian Church (65 Eddie L Jones Rd, Ivanhoe, NC 28447).
