It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Colon Lavern Hickman Jr. of Winnabow, North Carolina, born in Southport, North Carolina, who passed away on August 8, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Colon Lavern Hickman Sr. and Lois Jane Gore Hickman; and his siblings, Eddie Hickman and Cheryl Lynn Hickman. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Pepper Hickman; his sons, Colon Lavern Hickman III (Jennifer) and Robert Neil Hickman (Maggie); his brothers, Norman Hickman (Linda), Jerry Hickman (Pat) and David Hickman (Elaine); and his grandchildren, Annemarie Long and Logan Hickman.
