He is survived by: his parents, Rocky Rushing (Kathy) and Connie Furr (Doug); his wife Anne-Marie Groff Rushing; his children, Reagan Rushing (Hailey Lippe) and RyLee Rushing; and his siblings, Morgan Rushing and Lindsay Curlee (Samantha Suptela).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending memorials to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd, Monroe, NC 28112.
