He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Edwards and Bernice Tarlton Edwards; his daughter Jeanette Lynn Edwards; and his brothers, Johnny Lane Edwards and Dana Ray Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Lynn Phifer Edwards; his son Steven Glenn Edwards; and his sister-in-law Velma Edwards. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
