She was predeceased by: her parents, Fairley Hamilton and Julia Taylor Hamilton; and her children, Freeman Garmon, Curlie Mac Garmon, Thelma McClendon, Sarah Huntley, Ruth Garmon, Margaret Gramon, Willie Mae Garmon and Bessie Garmon.
She is survived by: her children, William Haywood Garmon, Jr. of Wingate, Lois Sturdivant, Rosa McClendon (James) and Paulette Blakeney (Joseph) of Marshville; and her sister Valentine Griffin of Wingate.
