We are sad to announce that on December 30, 2023 we had to say goodbye to James Wendell Evans Sr. of Wingate, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wendell Evans and Ruby Beavers Evans; his daughter Lurah Taylor; and his grandson James Evans III. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Peery Evans; his sons, James Evans Jr. (Shana) and Joseph Evans (Dawn); his sister Brenda Bowling; and his grandchildren, Leigh Ann Witherspoon (Ryan), Alena Evans (Dercell), Hannah Saunders (Jesse), Emily Evans, Taylor Parker and Jacob Evans. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
