With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jackie Byrd of Wingate, North Carolina, who passed away on November 25, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Murphy Asbury McRae and Sally Deberry McRae; and her husband Rev. Robert T. Byrd. She is survived by: her children, Rev. Barry L. Byrd (Annette) and Wanda B. Denton (Tony); her grandchildren, Timothy Denton, Amber Johnson (Kelly), Jonathan Byrd (Anne), Abby Evans (Josh), Jennifer Williams (Chad) and Katy Harry (Delon); and her brother Shorty McRae (Mildred). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Outreach Ministries of Austin Grove Baptist Church, 5919 Austin Grove Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103.
