Betty Jean Autry Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jean Autry of Wingate, North Carolina, who passed away on June 9, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Griffin and Leo Clontz Griffin; her husband H. B. Autry; and her brothers, Jimmy Griffin, Haskell Griffin, Cecil Griffin, Floyd Griffin and Lewis Griffin.
She is survived by: her son Hampton "Hamp" Autry (Pat); her grandchildren, Zach Autry (Trisha) and Britney Autry; her great grandchildren, Risden Autry and Rachel Autry; and her friend Lord. She is also survived by her husband, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd, Monroe, NC 28112.
