She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Grady Cuthbertson and Wilma Foy Griffin Cuthbertson; her husband John Homer Clawson; and her sister Lillian Foy Cuthbertson Finch. She is survived by: her children, John Henry Clawson of Lenoir and Phyllis Pincus (Gary) of Weddington. She is also survived by four grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wingate Baptist Church, 109 East Elm Street (PO Box 339), Wingate, NC, 28174.
