She is survived by: her sons, Leo Simpson (Brenda) of Farmville, NC, Lou Friend (Bob) of Grifton, NC and Moneen Jones (Robert) of Greenville, NC; her brother Gerald Elks of Franklin, VA; and her grandchildren, Chasidy Simpson, Brandon Simpson, Jessica Gutierrez, Jimmy Reekes III, Louanne Varley, Tracy Alexander, Kim Hammam, Noah Wiggins, Pam Gaines, Grant, Russell and Ken Jones. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren.
