It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley D Pierce (Windsor, North Carolina), who passed away on May 3, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Alton Lee Pierce; and her sister Virginia Catlin. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Pierce Hoggard (Paul) of Edenton and Al Pierce of Colerain; her siblings, Donnie Davis (Brenda) of Tarboro and Lydia Louise Nance of Chesapeake; her grandchildren, Emerson Pierce, Easton Pierce, Errol Hood, Luke Hoggard and Landen Hoggard; and also Rev. Gary Saffell.
