He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Whipkey Swisher; his son Robert Dale Swisher, Jr.; and his brothers, Troy Swisher and Herbie Swisher. He is survived by: his children, David Swisher (Elaine) of Windsor, Joshua Swisher of Williamston, Cheryl Ellis of Windsor and Rebecca Adams (Craig) of Williamston; and his siblings, Jimmy Wonn, Carol McMillian and Sharron Woodward. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
