We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2021, at the age of 84, Nellie Mae Phillips Williford of Windsor, North Carolina, born in Tarboro, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Phillips and Louise Phillips; her husband B. D. "Sonny" Williford; and her brother Frank Phillips (Geneva). She is survived by: her friends, Rook and Scrabble; her children, Steven Williford of Los Angeles, CA, Sharon Mayhue (Rick) of Chesapeake, VA and Christie Kennon (James) of Windsor; her grandchildren, Katie (Shawn), Zachary, Brandon, Christine, Hunter, Peyton and Bradley (Carrie); her brother Alton Phillips (Suzanne) of Clayton; her friend Frank Thigpen; and also Bobby Gettys.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to the Merry Hill Baptist Church or Gideon's International, a cause that Mrs. Williford supported throughout her life.
