It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph C Simmons (Windsor, North Carolina), who passed away on July 15, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Benjamin and Annie Farmer Simmons; his daughter Wendy Diane Simmons; and his brothers, James and Benjamin Simmons.
He is survived by: his children, Rev. Charles Simmons and Angela S. Bridges (Ricky); his sisters, Carol S. Thames of Windsor, Barbara S. Pope of Roanoke-Rapids and Sheila Shingleton of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Tori, Justin, Savannah Simmons and Jeana Socha; and his former wife Wilma Thomas. He is also survived by two great grandchildren and his.
