He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie David and Hattie Bell Harden Phelps; and his sister Christobel Pierce. He is survived by: his wife Lucille Breedlove Phelps; his children, Angela Daughtridge (Douglas) of Wake Forest and Gary Phelps (Clara) of Windsor; his grandchildren, Daniel Daughtridge and Linda Barnes (Marty); and his great grandchildren, Lane, Kyle and Savannah Barnes.
