He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Twiddy Cooper and Robert Cecil Cooper; his wife Sally Cooper; and his brothers, Joe and Leon.

He is survived by: his daughter Misty Cooper; his grandchild Jesse; his child Cecil; his grandchildren, Kodey, Shane, Katelyn, Cassie, Destiny, Jessie and Malachi; and his great grandchildren, Harmonee, Ermias, Baylor, Jahi and Baby Harrell.
