She was predeceased by: her parents, Eli Rogers and Cennie Reddick Rogers; her sons, Gene Carroll Nicholson, Charles Clayton Nicholson and Tony Whitley; and her grandson Clay Nicholson.
She is survived by: her son Garland Nicholson (Linda) of Williamston; and her grandchildren, Myra Nicholson, Robin Wainwright, Carol Roberson, Sheri Hanson, Emily Wynne and Chris Nicholson. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
