She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Barnes and Tillie Barnes; her husband James Gardner; her son Timmy Gardner; and her siblings, Walter Barnes Jr., William Barnes, Nickey Barnes, James Barnes, Hazel Oakley and Gladys Spruill.
She is survived by: her son Donald Gardner of Williamston. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
