He is survived by: his wife Mary Cummings Pittman; his siblings, Tim Pittman (Wilma) of Pinetops and Jean Story of Knightdale; his nephew Brian Henson (Gabriela) of Matthews; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Caleb, Brayden and Aubrey; his nephew John Pittman (Elizabeth) of Clayton; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Isaac, Levi, Ruby and Emery; his niece Tricia Conard (Todd) of Knightdale; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kyle and Scarlett; his niece Erin Scott (Rusty) of Macclesfield; and his great-niece Abigail.
