He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice G. Godwin and William J Godwin Sr.; his wife Wanda Marie Godwin; his stepmother Thelma Godwin; and his siblings, Judy Parker, Joe Warrick, Danny Warrick and Rachel Warrick.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Hall (Joseph), Christy Godwin (Chris), Mark Godwin (Tara), Eddie Carmichael and William "Billy" J Godwin, III (Kelly); his grandchildren, Victoria Edge (Richard), Benjamin Hall (Breanna), Hayden Garner, Mekayla Garner, Joshua Rupprecht (Carol), Trevor Fosler, Rylie Fosler and Maddie Fraijo; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Scarlett, Aidan, Olivia and Lily.
