It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilbur Brooks Powell of Wilson, North Carolina, born in Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on December 11, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Christine Capps; his wife Betty F. Bunting; and his parent Hunter Capps. He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Powell-Beamon (Nicholas Beamon); his siblings, Larry Capps (Judy Capps) and Shirley Wooten; and his stepgrandchildren, Madison Beamon, Haley Beamon and Erin Beamon.
