It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Wheeler of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on June 28, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Hubert Wheeler; her daughter Patty Wheeler Strickland; and her parents, Walter Fred Corbett and Annie Strickland Corbett. She is survived by: her daughters, Hope Velasquez (John) of Denver, CO, Cindy Sherrod (Dale) and Mary Lou Skinner (Randy) of Wilson; and her sister Delores Joyner of Wilson. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
