She was predeceased by: her husband William Gray Lucas; her son Clee Lucas; her parents, Major Dawson and Lillian Jones Dawson Taylor; her stepfather Sam Taylor; and her siblings, Betty Dinger and Jim Taylor.
She is survived by: her son William G. "Bill" Lucas, Jr. (Gloria) of Wilson; her grandchildren, Chad Lucas (Amanda) of Greenville, Lance Lucas (Victoria) of Stantonsburg, Danielle Kerns of Wilson, Chris Jones (Ashley) of Wilson, Jason Lucas (Amanda) of Fremont and Cassidy Lucas of New Bern; her great grandchildren, Chance, Connor, Taylor, Haley, Will, Riley, Austin, Trent, Logan, Easton, Tyler, Holly and Natalie; and her daughter-in-law Lisa Jo Fox Lucas of Wilson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
