She was predeceased by: her husband Erick Douglas Strickland; and her parents, William Joyner and Mammie Joyner. She is survived by: her children, Cindy McLaughlin, Karen Parramore and Doug Strickland, Jr.; her grandchildren, Erica Little, C. J. Ellis, Tanner Brooks Ellis, Phillip Morgan and Jeremiah McLaughlin; and her sister Frances Bernecker. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
