She was predeceased by: her mother Alice Lee Reid; and her brother James "Penny" Exum. She is survived by: her children, Lovey Imonti of Chapel Hill, Angela Parker (James) of Goldsboro and Garland McCray King, III of Chapel Hill; her grandchildren, Ashley Imonti, Kenya Imonti, Justin Parker and Jamil Parker; her sister Pastor Ida Hamilton of Wilson; and her sister-in-law Magdalene Exum of Dudley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
