He was predeceased by: his former wife Emily Anderson Cunningham; and his parents, Charles Booker Cunningham, Jr. and Leah Hines Cunningham. He is survived by: his children, Robert Whitworth Cunningham, Jr., Jayne Cunningham Langston and Leah Hines Cunningham; his grandchildren, Sarah Haywood Langston, Elizabeth Holt Langston and Robert Whitworth Cunningham, III; his wife Hannah Dawson Cunningham; and his great grandchildren, Robert Owen Cunningham and Camden Dawson Cunningham.
