He was predeceased by: his parents, Eliga Lewis and Maggie Peterson; and his sons, Gregory Langley and Jermaine Cherry. He is survived by: his stepfather Samuel Pierce; his children, Timothy Crandall, Latisha Godard (Antonio), Vernisha Tolliver (Alfonso), Alicia Griffin (Charlie) and Shawana Lewis; and his siblings, Clarabelle Brown, Sarah Hines, Elijah Clay, Orlando Lewis, James Peterson, Roy Peterson, Samuel Pierce and Orah Pierce. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
