She was predeceased by: her husband Simon Hooks; her parents, Estelle Britt and Lawrence Britt; and her brother Charles Ray "Charlie" Britt. She is survived by: her children, Susan Lucas (Tim) of Wilson and Kevin Hooks (Ingrid) of Huntersville; her grandchildren, Ella Ruby Hooks and Liam Quinn Hooks; her brother David Britt (Shirley) of Wilson; her sister-in-law Donna Britt of Granbury, TX.; and her caregivers, Bernice, Barbara, Tammy, Cheryl, Gwen, Sheila and Nellie.
