It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Cherry Tyndall of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Warren Cherry and George Rufus Cherry; her husband Melvin Clarence Tyndall; her sister Mary Lou Batten; her sister-in-law Mattie Grace Talton; her niece Angie Galloway Reeder; and her brother-in-law Archie Galloway.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Tyndall White (Bobby) of Wilson; her granddaughter Jennifer White Freeman (Kirk) of Raleigh; her great grandchildren, John Walston White Freeman and William Harrison Freeman; her sister Shirley Cherry Galloway of Wilson; her siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Tyndall Stokes (Frank) of Wilson and J. P. Batten of Wilson; and her nieces and nephews, Lisa Bowden Riley, Lorie Batten Hawkins (David), Kimberly Talton Craig (Ryan), Michael Galloway, Steve Bowden, Bradley Batten (Brooke) and Allen Kearney.
