She was predeceased by: her parents, Dock Mercer and Sadie Mercer; her husband Roy A. "Ray" Stancil; and her daughter Susan Plyler. She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Howard (Bradford) and Melissa "Missy" Pflaeging; her grandchildren, Taylor Howard, Jordan Howard (Ariel), Carolina Howard and Mathilda Pflaeging; her great grandchildren, Avery and Anthony Howard; her siblings, Louis, Newton Mercer, Yvonne Barnes and Joyce Malpass; her sister-in-law Janice Stancil; and her pet LuLu. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
