He is survived by: his wife Connie Herring Collins; his children, Michael William Collins (Cameron Kirkland) of Wilson, Christopher Lawrence Collins of Wilson and Heather Collins White of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Collins Davis White, Stephen Carter Herring White and William Henry Collins, II; and his sister Ruffles Collins Clement (William Baxter Clement, III) of Southern Pines.
