He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Max, Anka Helfer of Israel, Lee McFarland and Dee of Hollister, MD.. He is survived by: his son Matthew Helfer, Jr. (Kaitlyn Tagney) of Wilson; his parents, Debbie Butts (Hank Butts) and Zev Helfer; his siblings, Daniel Helfer (Jennifer Torres) of Lexington, KY, Jonathan Helfer (Ella) of Tel Aviv, Tal Helfer of Plantation, FL and Karen Magen (Yoav) of Israel; his stepbrother Logan Butts of Wilson; his grandparents, Lydia T. Phillips (Alan) of Wilson and Charlie Clark (Carolyn) of Oxford, FL; and his stepgrandparents, Dennis and SoYoung Cobb of Wilson.
