She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Williams Graves and Virginia Thompson Graves; and her brother John Graves II. She is survived by: her husband James Joyner Edmundson (Jimmy) of Wilson; her children, Virginia Edmundson Sutton (Jim) of Winston-Salem and James Joyner Edmundson, Jr. (Cabell) of Winston-Salem; her grandchildren, James Belk Sutton, Jr., William Edmundson Sutton, Robert Graves Sutton (Bo), Mary Lowe Edmundson and James Joyner Edmundson III; and her siblings, Thomas Williams Graves, Jr. (Sara) of Raleigh, William Thompson Graves (Sally) of Charlotte and Nancy Graves Osborne of London, England.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the First United Methodist Church (100 Green St NE, Wilson, NC 27893). A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (400 College St NE, Wilson, NC 27893). She delivered Meals on Wheels for approximately forty years and was featured in the Wilson Times as a volunteer delivering meals during the COVID crisis.
