She was predeceased by: her mothers, J. O. "Jack" Jackson and Irene Edwards Jackson; and her husband Charles Smith. She is survived by: her sister Joann Edwards; her son Garland (Stephanie Smith); her grandchild Zoey; her sons, Jeffrey Smith and Chip (Melinda Smith); her granddaughters, Molly Smith and Haley Smith Locklear; her great grandchildren, Alice Hoover and Amie Breeden; and also Deborah Cruz.
